Who am I?

I am a new writer with an unpublished book. I am looking to create a buzz about it so please help me out. Every so often I will enter a quote from my book as a topic of discussion. Here is the first:

"If god created Adam from a lump of clay than why didn't he do that with Jesus? Why did he need to get Mary pregnant?"

  1. It was more fun. Given the choice of a young hot carpenter's wife or a lump of clay, which would you do?

  3. Peace be upon you Mr Neo

Allah (God) says in the Holy Quran

"The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: "Be". And he was." (The Holy Quran, 3:59)

God created Jesus (peace be upon him) as a sign
“He said: "So (it will be): your Lord says, 'that is easy for Me: and (We wish) to appoint him as a Sign unto men and a Mercy from Us': It is a matter (so) decreed." (The Holy Quran, 19:21)

“Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! Allah gives you glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah. He shall speak to the people when in childhood and in maturity. And shall be (of the company) of the righteous. She said: “O my Lord!, how shall have a son when no man has touched me? He said: “even so; Allah creates what He wills: When he has decreed a plan, He but says to it, ‘Be! And it is! And He will teach him the Book and the Wisdom and the Law and the Gospel, And (appoint him) a messenger to the children of Israel, (with this message):‘ I have come to you, with a sign from your Lord, in that I make for you out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breath into it, and becomes a bird by Allah’s leave: And I heal those born blind, and the lepers, and I quicken the dead, by Allah’s leave; and I declare to you what you eat, and what you store in your houses. Surely therein is a sign for you if you did believe” (The Holy Quran, 3:48-50)

However, Muslims believe that Jesus (peace be upon him) was not crucified but rather, God raised him up to heaven to himself, saving him from the intended crucifixion. Jesus (peace be upon him) characteristics were put over another man, and that man was crucified instead.

“That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah ; but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not” ( The Holy Quran, 4:157)

“Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise” (The Holy Quran, 4:158)

Muslims believe that God has no sons, daughters or associates.
“It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! When He determines a matter, He only says to it, “Be” and it is" (The Holy Quran, 19:35).(1)

“Verily, when He intends a thing, his Command is, “be”, and it is! (The Holy Quran, 36:82).

"O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion, nor say of Allah aught but the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary was (no more than) a Messenger of Allah and His word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a Spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His Messengers: say not ‘Trinity’; desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is One God: glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs." (The Holy Quran, 4:171)”

“Say: He is Allah, the One and Only; Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; He begets not, nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him.” (The Holy Quran,112:1-4)”

  4. Neo, discover the answer to your question in 1Corinthians xv. Read there about the First Man Adam, which refers to his perfect and whole state before Eve was built from his removed rib bone. Christ is the Second Man and Last Adam, i.e. "the SEED" of Genisis iii.15. The Church is the "rib bone" of His Side.
The stuff above written by a Muslim is to be totally disregarded, as that person has no Salvation. He is damned according to the Apostle Paul in Galatians i.: "another gospel," and in 2Corinthians x.: "another jesus, another gospel, and another spirit.

  5. Godly Peer pressure.
Apollo keeps talking about the thrill of the chase.
Hades keeps telling God it actually easy to get some, and that all you need is a small red fruit.
Zeus keeps bragging about some super-kinky night involving lots of goose feathers.
And God wanted to fit in and be part of the cool crowd, but he forgot his rubbers. Nine month's later and BAAM: one accidental savior is born. That is also the same day Joseph begins telling the world about how the Lord works in mysterious ways.

  6. I am not sure how I should respond given what I think about the answer. The prophecy said the Messiah was to be Son of Man and Son of God. So they made it work. If it was actually known at the time claimed, the three wise men found them and the shepards spread the news of the Messiah's birth... *breath* how did Jesus lead such a simple out of the way life? People would have been bugging him constantly. "Heal my wife, my son, me, my goat, what do I do about taxes Lord?"
This decision was man's not God's. It also happened to be made some forty years after Jesus's death so that the wording in the Prophecy could be fulfilled. Just like the rest of the prophecy... except the one part they could not fake that split the religous factions.

I was happy to see some quotes from the Koran. I am not familiar with the particulars of it's contents but from what I have seen about Islam it makes alot more sense than The Bible. So parallel in so many ways though...

  7. Jesus had to born into the world not just placed into it.

Adam (mankind) is God's creation, Jesus is God's son. One, (Adam), could be and had to be created, the other, (Jesus), being God's son could only be born.
